Howdy everyone. I've just joined so thought it prudent to introduce myself.
Simon from Cornwall in here, using Fuji gear at the moment to snap local coasts and landscapes.
Summer is not my favourite time here however due to the crowds but also the light in August never seems to inspire me.
Hopefully will be getting out more soon as autumn does it's thing.
Great to join the tp site and looking forward to finding my way around and participating.

Thanks Jak, hope you make it back sometime. Come in autumn/winter as it's difficult to move this time of year.
I've got some stuff on flickr but not sure if I'm allowed to post links?
 
Welcome Simon, having added to the August crowds this year, the quality of the Cornish coasts is fresh in my mind!

Feel free to share plenty of your images, especially in low light or from the stormy parts of the year - both of which will be quite different from most of what I got to see! (for images inserting images via BBCode works better than posting links)

Hi Simon, welcome to the forum. I’m just up country in Devon but my partner is Cornish so I’m down there semi-regularly. In fact I’ll be there next weekend! Is that shot Wheal Coates? I’ve been meaning to get there for a while now - was hoping to go when the heather and gorse was in flower but I think I’ve missed it for another year :( I’ve not seen it shot like yours with a long lens but it’s really effective!

Hi Tom, thanks and yes it's the iconic Towanroath shaft engine house at Wheal Coates mine. Maybe see you there soon!
