Some time ago in August, I was on Aldis photo printing website and noticed they do greetingcards. I also noticed the price - about £3.85 for a pack of 10. Great I thought, in november I'll upload some, and this year do it properly rather than just bought cards. So today I'm on there and, looking more closely , realise that this is just for, essentially, a photoprint with christmassy themes! Actual greeting cards are about £11 for a pack of 10! Heck, I'm not paying that for them to go in the bin on the 1st of Jan! I did think about doing email cards, but a lot of my family/friends aren't on email. So does anyone know of a much cheaper place? I used to print them myself, but that cost even more for the ink costs! Help is MUCH appreciated! ;)

Seriously mate, £1.10 per card for a bespoke printed product is not expensive!

Well I'd have to do about 50 cards....personally, it seems a bit dear....am I just to mean? Is that a pretty good price, d'you think?

You could just send the nice cards to special people and normal cards to the others.

I never really spend a lot on Christmas Cards, as you say they only end up in the bin 1-2 weeks after Christmas and once people have read the message they just get stuck up with all the others on strings or in holders.

Many thanks Foggy, thats more like my price! ;)

I know Staffitaxi, but the trouble is most of the special people know all the not so special! And the price off vistprint is pretty good.

Well even though I ordered 20 folded cards with plain envelopes (basically the cheapest options with a photograph) it works out £20! And thats for 14 day delivery! I think I'll wait and see if anyone else has any suggestions. Many thanks

That would be much appreciated Nattalie ;)

Thanks for ideas and links, maybe'll think about such cards too. As for me, I usually do handmade cards for special people. And I can be more sure they wouldn't be thrown away just the same day - maybe a couple of days later, you know... :)

Same here, I printed off the photos and then put them in special card cut outs. It used a lot of ink:nono:

Don't buy the cards, just use either cheapish photo paper or thin card and print on half of it or even quarter A4 and fold in half. You can get cheap cutters that can also put a fold in your card envelopes from a poundshop and you can be well away. I do a few like that every year. Would do more but we enjoy making cards, embellishments, stencils etc.

I got mine from snapfish today. They're good, nice and strong, glossy images, great stuff  Just delivery takes a few days.

Tks magicmynx, will probably use them ;)

I got some from Vistaprint last month and I'm very impressed. Excellent quality but a little bit slow to deliver.
