Green Tint at Venue - How To Resolve ?

Hi All,

I take some pictures in snooker halls occasionally, normally all ok in the end, but they are challenging venues.

There is one in particular that causes a severe green tone over the whole pic ?

Is there anything I can do to combat this pre PP.

Any thoughts appreciated,

Assuming auto white balance isn't giving you what you want try dialing in a touch of red to counter the green.
 
I don't often do indoor photography but some years back I was able (via a ticketed event) walk the, about to be opened, Hindhead Tunnel

I purposely took my WhiBal Card and took one picture with that in shot and illuminated by the overhead lights. It was a one click to correct the WB and create a preset(?) in Photoshop for use with the rest of the images.
NB this worked especially well as the lighting though challenging was all the same.....with mixed lighting not so simple!

That's a great suggestion thanks. Bonus is I have this kit. I'll edit and post and example picture, but want to remove ID's.

It is a nightmare venue for all photographers (just a nice. snooker club) not a huge venue,

My picture is good colour wise (we have snooker balls here).

Background tint on player etc is horrible. Last one, just cut off the table, competitors = B &W

tricky! no easy answer unless the venue changes their lighting.... you could try a gradient layer in PP with a negative green tint above the table?
 
Could you use the eye dropper for a white balance on anything grey/white in the photo...?

Just asking.

I tried clicking the white ball it does look a bit better.
I suppose the ceiling really is green or lit green.

Photograph a sheet of white paper and then use that image to set a custom white balance in the camera.

I'm at this problem venue on Sunday so will see what I get. (just a group pic normally).

The problem is that the venue lighting is clearly ‘green’. Just use flash, allow the ambient to do its own thing on the bg.
