Greedy OAP's crash NSI site with excess demand

I'm merely passing observations - a mere observation of the behaviour and activity of a certain sector of society. It's more the petty sums involved that make me laugh, to me grubbing around over a gain of under £10pw is laughable....

Whats pigeon feeding got to do with it, can you please explain?

It's nice not to have to worry about money and for some of us £400 is a pittance. I certainly would bother investing £10'000 for a measly £400 return after 12 months, but to others £400 is a lot of money and there is no risk as with higher interest investments.

Get over it. Worry about your own life and leave other people alone. Your sounding more and more like a very sad individual that has nothing better to do that trawl through the Internet looking for nonsense that you can post up to stir up an argument.

That, and also how through impatience/greed they've managed through sheer demand take out a website/over work a company and its staff etc.

Its like the behavior you see in Black Monday, etc and the lead up to Christmas. Just sheer impatience and greed to get a little extra off something/more back...

No, as Neil said, websites are set up to cope with a certain amount of traffic and a bit more for emergencies, but any sudden influx will cause problems with overloading. There was always going to be a massive increase in traffic so perhaps they could have allowed for that and no, I don't believe for a minute, regardless of how much you deny it, that if this was something that was aimed at you, you wouldn't be on here moaning about the incompetence and how their website should work properly, they should have planned for it.

I'd maybe wait a day or two for demand to settle down....

Sorry but I think it's absolutely disgusting calling them greedy for that. We're not all spoiled little trust fund babies. £400 would be a great help to my parents who are OPS's now, hence why I help them out every month. Are they greedy?...no. Would that £400 help them and let them treat themselves?...yes. Some of the people who received that £400, do you not think that they actually deserved it?...no, not of course. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure there's a war vet out there who's done nothing but fight for our country that's quite happy with you calling them greedy for £400.

I'm 26 now and not been out of work (even whilst I was at school) since I was 13. Now I work two jobs, mortgage on my own house, two kids and married, I don't smoke, I don't go for nights out (haven't since I was 18 and that was only twice), help my folks out each month with my pay slips and help my friends out now and again. Yes I have some luxuries that I like to have, like my project cars and my own workshop in my garage, along with other hobbies. I also have several different instructor certificates and qualifications for numerous different sports to give others an opportunity to enjoy what I do. The last thing I would want when I'm an OAP and perhaps given a small amount of money would be to get called greedy by some keyboard warrior on a photography forum. Some people don't deserve it you know.

The point about banks and companies that set up HQ outside of the UK, is just that. They are companies. Companies are in business to make money, and if they can make more of it legally by having an HQ outside of the UK, so what? Good luck to them. Its the same thing as Formula One drivers living in Monaco for the benefits their tax system brings.

£400 may be sweet FA to you Steve, but im guessing that for a lot of Pensioners (and non pensioners), it is entirely worth it. Greedy? No.

My brother has recently done just that with his own freelance oil company. He's now living out abroad and he said as long as he's not in the UK for more than 90 days then he doesn't have to pay our tax...correct me if I'm wrong, can't remember exactly what he said. Fair play to him. If it means companies get more out of it then why not, they'd be a mug not to :)...greedy, no.

Who said I wasn't greedy?

So why bash the pensioners?

Your greed, jealously and bitterness perhaps. No matter how you like to try and dress it up (some rubbish about their impatience because they crashed website annoying you somehow), the really simple truth to this thread is that you can see someone getting something you cant, so youve added it to your very long list of gripes.

Because I can :P

It's added :D

Corect me if I'm wrong, but OP does seem to like trawling through BBC News and posting links on here to start an argument. I'm not sure if he ever wins any!!!
But...he's not a pensioner so he has no reason to try and enter the website, so why does it matter to him if those who these bonds are aimed at cannot get onto the site.
Greed, Envy, Lust. That's three of the 7 Deadly Sins. More than enough for one man.
How soon will he be allowed to drive again? Then he can tootle off and stop finding fault:banana:

Who's arguing and posting remarks designed to get a reaction. You are doing a good job. Add glutony to your list for me, make it 4. I eat like there is no tomorrow and I don't mind being a sinner.

PS, please show the last thread I started with a news link. It was over a week ago. Yet, where ever I post, you the same people surface to post/troll my threads with comments about driving....Why is that?
