Has anyone bought from these guys? I did a search on the forum and nothing came up.
 
I've never bought from them, but they are a real shop in Swindon that has been around for years.
 
bought used filters from them

fast service and in mint condition

bit dubious about sending ANY one a LOT of money though, via the web

prefer to deal direct
 
Just bought a lens from their ebay site.

No problems, ordered on Sunday and delivered yesterday, lens is just as described.

Did some checks and found that they a real shop, and more than happy to use them again.

Thanks guys for your replies. I too have just ordered a refurbished Sigma 150-500 lens from their eBay site. Whilst extremely cautious over GWC's claim that they offer a three year Sigma warranty with their refurbished lenses, I contacted Sigma who confirmed that GEC were the only company authorised to sell Sigma refurbished lens and get a three year manufacturers warranty.

I hope this bit of info will help anyone else thinking of buying from this company.

I bought the Sigam 120-400mm from them and I can't wait to get out with it at the weekend.
 
Thanks Doug. You also have a 450D. It will be interesting to compare results from the two lenses. I probably wont get mine for the weekend, so look forward to see how you get on. Good luck and enjoy it. :thumbs:
 
Hopefully the weather will be okay so I can get some shots of my son playing football.

I looked at the 150-500 but i think the focal length is a tad too long for my use.

Mind you the 120-400 is quite a lump to carry around, I might need to invest in a new strap. Expensive hobby this:)
