Great Magazine/Handbook for beginners!

Came across this magazine in WH Smiths. It's called 'The Complete D-SLR User Handbook' and it's by the same people as PhotoPlus who do the Mag dedicated to Canon users.

The mag is one of those one offs that give the novice the complete run down on what this DSLR stuff means with loads of photo's so you can understand what the writers are talking about.

It's not cheap at £12.99 but if others have bought it and have no more use for it you may get it 2nd hand. Well worth it if you are new to all this...like me!:D

I was looking through this the other day in WH Smith's and it looked good. So I went in today to buy it and it's now down to £6.49. So it's worth it for that price.

Oooh you lucky b****r! I may buy another copy to keep for 'best' and have the old one while 'on the road' :thumbs:

theres also digital photography for dummies, not calling you a dummy of course they also do a book for the the canon 400, 450 and 1000D.

I brought this but it does seem a rehash of articles that apperared in PhotoPlus. Because of this it definitely is full of Canon camera settings etc
 
Yep, it may be a rehash of articles in Photoplus, but i've been having a look, and as i havent had photoplus before, it looks very useful! Esp for £6.49. I also bought another one, Travel/macro photography.
 
anyone know if this book is available elsewhere as my w h smith hasn't got a copy:shrug:
 
still not got myself down to WHsmiths.

is this more for canon users then?
