Yes
Not necessarily film based but it seems photography is about to get the baking treatment.

Let's hope at least one of them shoots film! Let's also hope that, if so, said film shooter isn't a die hard, distressed brick loft dwelling, hilarious moustache grooming, artisanally tattooed, high waisted skinny jean wearing, avocado crush eating power hipster that raises a sigh for all film shooters out there :D

You mean, let's hope @Andysnap isn't taking part? ;)

I read this differently to how I imagine the thoroughly nice Jonathan intended it. Just me?

I meant it purely in terms of 'only artisan creators are cool, mainstream is so done', so that is the only acceptable origin for their tattoos :D

Well I have seen some of the type as described gathered in an online group labelled 'Analography'. They did change that :^)

LOL! :D

I may be blind but when is it beginning?

From what I can tell, "Summer" is when it'll be starting. I can't see anything more specific than that... But I may have missed something also!

At least it'll fill the hole that Sky Arts' Master of Photography has left (though I'm hoping that will return post-Covid).
I was really disappointed with Rankin's show on lockdown photos, as it was very much a "talking heads" thing. Hopefully this one has learned from the Master of Photography contest and will have the relative dynamism of the participants.

I've seen some programs where at the end (probably of the series) there's a message pops up to the effect "if you want take part visit this link". Otherwise, I suppose they advertise on antisocialmeedja where they expect to find a representative selection of misfits participants.

I seriously doubt anybody could shoot film, even if they wanted to, these sorts of shows barely give anybody enough time to digitally edit images, let alone develop, dry and print

I've no doubt you are 100% correct. I guess it's just nice to hope that there is an open minded producer out there that is willing to accommodate film, and hence potentially give the film industry a large slice of exposure to the public, rather than just making cheap TV by introducing an unnecessarily narrow time constraint purely for the sake faux excitement (aka, ratings).

Fear not, I’m not involved!
:ROFLMAO:

I was contacted in March by the Production company filming Food Unwrapped for Channel 4. They were filming an episode in Brighton in April and wanted an AutoChrome compatible plate holder, to use with an Intrepid 4x5 for the episode, so I designed one :0). I heard from them this week to say that the plates came out really well, and the episode is airing in 2022 (they're really planning ahead!). I've asked for a copy of the final images, so am looking forward to seeing the result.
