Is there one or wishful thinking.I look forward to seeing "Mr Kiplings bake off with Paul Hollywood" but even more to "Mary, Mel and Sue's Soggy Bottoms" .. or maybe not.

If the Beeb hadn't been forced by successive governments to pension off their programme making staff and sell their production capabilities and been forced to buy in from independents there'd be a whole lot mor money for programmes.IMHO if they stopped paying out such high salaries to the so called bosses then maybe they could afford the odd program here there. Just a thought
Because as I've said on many occasions, they have been programmed to watch any old stuff that the channels ( not only the beeb) chuck out.and surprisingly, it's very popular with younger people.
That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me all weekNo doubt that is the reason for all the disbelief expressed by the old farts on here
Repetition of an error doesn't make true;-) . According to reports in the press, there has been a big rise in the sale of baking equipment etc, which I think is great news!Because as I've said on many occasions, they have been programmed to watch any old stuff that the channels ( not only the beeb) chuck out.
They are hungry for media stuff any stuff .... Puns intended....
You're welcome! That's the nicest thing anyone has said to me all week![]()
Ah! those were the days ...However, us "old farts" remember the days when there were decent programmes on TV, none of this cheapo reality stuff, that is shown these days.
Probably not, but its not an error, its statement of fact.Repetition of an error doesn't make true;-)
and lots of dough spentthere has been a big rise in the sale of baking equipment etc,
Not a fan of steatopygia then?and lots of dough spent

Take the Kardashians, what do they have going for them except a (in?)famous lawyer as a dad and big arses?
...![]()
Celebrities are manufactured these days, rather than rise to the fore purely on talent.
That's not what I saidNot a fan of steatopygia then?

That's not what I saidBut its part of what made them famous

Looking at this logically, and the fuss that's been created over the last few days with the "Stars" ( whatever their names are) leaving the programme,
it appears ( to this old fart) its them the people wanted to watch not the actual programme, which gives rise to my next pet hate, the way "stars / celebrities" are created these days.
Take the Kardashians, what do they have going for them except a (in?)famous lawyer as a dad and big arses?

But of course that's a whole new discussion![]()
MeooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowIn their case, it's also entirely unlikely to be a natural occurrence.
Like their faces...and their boobs...etc etc etc.![]()
Fair point, but also they became huge and world known stars across the world.( mostly) And did ( and do) have charm and charisma ( mostly)Well celebrities have always been manufactured, Hollywood is a case in point.
Another fair point. If anything The other guy is the loyal one, sticking with the company that makes the program.
Meooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow![]()
