Yes
....if the show is filmed over several days - it is certainly inferred that it is during the show - where they say "Day2 ..."

....why do the contestants, presenters and judges WEAR THE SAME CLOTHES THROUGHOUT THE SHOW?

I could understand for continuity if it was filmed over multiple days but they wanted it to appear as though it was the same day - but it is almost like anti-continuity.

I certainly wouldn't wear the exact same clothes over several days - especially if I was on national TV!

Very troubling for me.

Alan, you need to get out more

It's a cooking programme not a fashion show , I'd imagine their clothes would be washed after each days filming .

I could imagine that 'day 2' might well be filmed on 'day 5' in real time etc.

Please be satisfied by my answer and dont make me worry about this all day and have me going through iplayer to back up my response

You haven't mentioned the phase "Soggy Bottom"!! We can't have a thread on the programe without mentioning it!!

Alan, I wear the same thing almost every day. Slight variations in the colour of the blue shirt and trousers but almost always blue shirt and blue Rohan trousers. To add to this, I also have 3 identical pairs of shoes which I rotate on a daily basis. (BTW, Sir David Attenborough does the same [or used to pre HD] - blue shirt, tan trousers IIRC, now a darker blue shirt I think.)

On the GBBO though, since when have poached meringues and custard been baked goods?

each show is shot over a weekend .. so i'd guess people staying away from home have a limited wardrobe for each weekend.

Incidentally we know they don't cheat and shoot everything on one day because some recipes (pork pies for example) have to rest overnight

(also Mary Berry is like the nation's granny , how can anyone suggest she might lie to us ;) )

Personally I have not noticed... to busy dreaming of Ruby covered in only hundreds and thousands!!

you're a very dirty man and should be ashamed of airing your perversions ;)

Hundreds and thousands? The odd one or two, maybe!!!

I was the subject of a "Don't Get Done Get Dom" program last year. He told me he always wears the same clothes to shoot in for continuity.

There were two rounds of filming for the show about 3 weeks apart. The filming schedule was all over the place, nothing ran in order and I had to change my clothing several times to give the illusion I was filmed over a number of different days.

For example, there was the "please Dom, can you help us" which is where the issue was outlined, there was the bit where Dom came to see us and what the problem was and then the bit where Dom came back with the results of his investigation.

In reality, Dom only visited us once but I suppose that's the magic of TV

He did say that there was a massive continuity error on Cowboy Traders... he pulled up in a 4x4 type wagon, did a piece to camera and then a shot of him driving off in a saloon

I was watching a couple of those recently and a female 'victim' had died her hair in one episode, so it was blonde, then purple (or whatever the colours were), then blonde again, then purple again, then .......

The missus said that she only got baker of the week the other week because she was pretty, and I made the mistake of saying - "Yes, she is a very pretty girl - extremely pretty!"

Oh dear:eek:

That did not go down very well:(

I was only agreeing with my OH

OK I guess that I will stop digging:)

To be honest I don't see what the fuss is about - she's okay , I've had worse. But she isn't that special.
