Who can recommend what? Been looking at the Trust 7300, anyone got any experience of this?

How much do you have to spend would be the first question?
 
A lot of people on here use the Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch and highly recommend it - was thinking of getting one myself.... Wacom are the benchmark for tablets.
 
I vote buying or trialling first, i fancied one but after purchase recalled i am more autistic than artistic and it ended up going on ebay, i had much more control with a mouse (after 20 years thats hardly a surprise).

this, dont get any other make than wacom - youll see a MASSIVE quality difference.

take a look on ebay, nothing wrong with second hand ones - i got an intuos 3 9x12" for £100 - shoulda been over £450 new at the time...

albeit it doesnt have the pen holder or any spare nibs or the box - but it came with the tablet, the pen and the mouse - which at the end of the day is what matters.
 
I love the wacom bamboo.
The small size meets all my needs.
I upgraded from a normal Bamboo, up to pen and touch, but then went back to the normal one, as after a while, I turned the touch functionality off.
 
Get a wacom. They are well made and last for years. And they still sell spares so I got a new mouse for my 5+ year old graphire when the select button died recently.
 
Wacom for me too, I tried the large Intuos 4 to start off with but I really didn't get along with it. I found that the simpler bamboo in the middle size was much nicer to use.
A hell of a lot cheaper too!
 
Thanks fella's. As it happens I've got a Trust tablet on loan to give it a go. If it works out then I'll look into Wacom.

Great advice about the refurb store. I'm not quite ready for a tablet yet - I don't think my skills are quite up to it yet!! But I've bookmarked it for the future as it looks like you can make a decent saving. Thanks :)

I use a Wacom Introus 3, they really do set the benchmark for tablets.
 
I use the Wacom Intuos 3 A4.
My perfect tablet would be Wacom Intuos 4 A5 as A4 is actually a bit big to use, although I can always change the mapping to use it as a smaller panel, I like the size of the A5 for portability.

Can't beat Wacom on graphic tablets, I wouldn't look at anything else.
Got mine second hand for £150 - the price of a decent bamboo.
