Is there a better graphics card for running photoshop?

Have a budget of around £175-£200 mark.... Ideally want to run 2 monitors eventually aswell have a Benq hd2024hd.

Many thanks

PS will mostly use your CPU so if not playing games, you dont need top of the range card
maybe better to change cpu ?

Cpu? Im new to this pc building lark...! Lol

processor :)
what is your current PC spec ?

as above whats your current spec. also whats your version of PS?

GPU acceleration is only available for a few certain tasks in PS so i would look at other areas of your system.

what resolution are the monitors? you might get away with running a £40 GPU to run them.

Sorry for delay.

Right am running CS6 and LR4 now.

Using Benq 2420hd monitor

i3 processor
16gb ram

Anythink else i need to tell you?

Do you use any of these features heavily: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cs6-gpu-faq.html#cs6_features

Note: the ones added in previous versions (i.e. GPU features added in previous versions Photoshop) will run on any current graphics card.

If you don't heavily (i.e. it is a main part of your workflow) use those features "any" current graphics card will do. Choose one with 2 x digital outputs if you want to move to dual monitors. I prefer Nvidia cards (I have an ATI card at the moment and it is buggy - if there was a silent triple monitor Nvidia card, I'd swap it immediately).

Dual monitors are the way i want to head in the long run..................

Instead of spending 200 on a gpu, I would invest in an i5 CPU and if you need a new gpu you will still have money to spare. What is the make and model of your motherboard? If its got an i3 in there it's likely you can use an i5 without issue. The benefits are its a quad core rather than dual.
