Hi , Can anyone point me in the right direction, I have purchased LR6 and CC6, Lightroom is saying my card is not good enough , I have a HP XW6400, running windows 7. my current card is a old NVDIA FX 3500. can any one recommend a replacement card.
Thanks.

If I were you, I'd wait a while, until the dust settles on LR6. The graphic card implementation has not exactly been smooth, so I would expect a update, which will make it more useful. As it stands, it seems most people, are turning the option off as it is causing too many issues.

Ok thanks, but I will still need a new card after they have sorted it.

No problems here with running Lightroom CC with a Nvidia Graphics card.

Would that be a direct replacement for my old Fx 3500, and would I gain anything from having the 2GB version.?.

I'm using inbuilt Intel hd 4400 (I think) graphics card. Works just fine and is nicely supported. So why not get a modern motherboard and Intel core processor :)

It links to the Geforce GT610 1GB card (about £30 to buy)

Be careful as that is the forum software picking up on key words and pointing to similar product - sort of a key word skimming.

If you go onto Nvidea's site it might have a compatibility checker for you to see what you can replace yours with, the motherboard being the crucial part!

Is yours the same as mine ?
My Graphics card is the Nvidia GTX570 which I bought for £20.00 from a friend who was upgrading, it works fine with no issues.

how do I find out what motherboard I have, sorry for all the silly questions.

I still have no clue as to what im looking for. sorry

Thanks for that, I will give it a go. Just downloaded it, its just what I was looking for. thanks.
