Grandad for the second time - update post #70

Nice one
There's something about seeing the scan for the first time. We had our first scan last month and can't wait for the second one at the end of March now :)

It all happens very fast and before you know it :dummy:

Just got me thinking and found this, the scan of my daughter but we only had the one.

Congratulations, I became a dad at 42. Just answered your post on the civic site.

Cheers, really looking forward to being a young grandad.

Well, I've just dropped the wife off at the hospital. My daughter had been there about an hour. It's a lot easier waiting as a grandad than a dad.

Im playing candy crush and watching buffy the vampirr slayer :-)

Well, gramps?

He's digging his feet in. Last text from Kellie (wife) was if there is no more progress soon it could be a c section.

Nice one, congrat's to her :)

But this scares the sheet out of me :/

I'm 37, and have a just-gone 17 year old daughter.

Cheers.

The trick is not to think about it, if and when it happens sit back smile and give her your babysitting rates.

William has made his entrance. Shooting off now! !!!!

Cheers Phil, not an easy time for Katherine but both are doing well. She has to stay in over night so I will see her and William tomorrow.

Holy thread revival but I do have a reason. William now has a little brother called Edward arrived around 9.14pm @9lb 5. I now have 2 grandsons called Bill and Ted......WILD STALLIONS cue air guitar.

This was taken last week so just in time.

Congratulations Scott, more sleepless nights.

We've got another one on the way in Jan 2015.

Better than your own children - you can have all the fun playing with them and then give then back for the messy bits.

Ken

Cheers Ken, no sleepless nights for me as Katherine found a house to rent about a year ago and so far Edward looks like he is going to be a good sleeper.

Being able to give them back after a visit is one of the advantages of a grandparent and also avoiding the nappies.

Also I managed to get a used D3 out of it so its a win win all round.
