Hey all just after a little advice , I've come up with a idea for a shoot with a model I work with a lot were doing a gothic vampire style shoot inside an old stone wheel house on dart moor in a few weeks. The idea is to have her surrounded by candles and occult symbols and I was wondering if all the candle light will end up suing white ballance issues and if anyone's done candle and flash before and if there was anything I need to be aware of

Thanks

On auto it might try to make it too white, use RAW and adjust to the yellowish effect you want.
Keep the exposure way down too.

Use a grey card/white card to measure your white balance, alternatively use a cto filter on your flash to balance the flash light to the same as the ambient to negate any major differences :)

Ahhh ok so if I warm up my 2 speed lights with gels then do one from tripod just be sure I've caught the ambient and blend them in ps , I obviously want good soft light from my flashes on the model but I'd like the candles to add tone to the image and help bring some mood.
