GoT - Season 4 (Contains spoilers)

I enjoyed it too.

Is it just me but when these characters are wandering around with a couple of swords or axes strapped to their backs - how do they get them out?
Do they have extendable arms? - I am aware that it is fantasy but I just wonder

I shall be watching it this evening.
I am practically giddy with anticipation :-)

An outstanding episode IMO. Excellent following from S3E10 and laying the foundation for the rest of S4 and, as Marc say, 'the' wedding in particular.

Good to see the Red Viper turning up - should spice things up nicely (like it needs it ;) ) but for me the real buzz is the Hound/Arya partnership developing.

I've started reading the books - I'd read AGOT before, but then gave up, so I'm determined to got back and do them all (hopefully before GRRM finishes book VII).

Next Monday evening seems a loooooooong way off :(

Definitely enjoyed that episode :D thank goodness for that. I will no longer want to punch the crap out of my tv every Monday :D

I hope Tyrion doesn't cop the blame for it. I'm starting to like him

I've always like the devious (deviant?) little sod.

Haha yep devious and deviant

He's grown on me since the first season. I do like him.

Tyrion & Arya are the real stars for me - have been since about 3 episodes in.

I haven't read the books (I'm back on Book 1 now and determined to work through them), so genuinely don't know the outcome, but I wonder how he (Tyrion)'s going to talk his way out of this.

Another great episode, of course, and loved the way they've left it going into ep3 - that should start at full-tilt!

One issue I now have is avoiding all kinds of social media on Mondays - there's far too many people watching in Sunday evenings in the US and then filling up Facebook/Twitter/Forums before we get it in the UK.

Good riddance to the twisted little tw.......ahem...rather good wasn't it!

Likewise. I know no character is safe in anything GRRM writes but I really hope they both make it to the end of the final book.

I was going to say "don't say that!" it's the kiss of death to like a character.

Don't get me wrong, I love GoT. The Daenerys story arc must be the slowest ever though. 4 seasons in and she's still effectively bimbling around. When will she come back to Kings Landing and kick some butt!?!?!

She is lovely though so I may forgive her ;)

It s raher a slow burner, isn't it?

Hang on, they're talking about sailing for Westeros!

Oh, wait. She's changed her mind and is staying to free the slaves she freed last time. More bimbling. :D

Have to agree - I was expecting great things (and may still get it), but she's beginning to wear a bit thin. Like gadegeteer, I can forgive some if it (and for the same reason ;) ). Also, of course, she still has the dragons!!!!

Great to see the deserters get their comeuppance at Craster's Keep :)

Yes, the sword through the back of the thread was particularly satisfying.
It was, but I also enjoyed (if that's the right word) Bran using his Warg-ability to control Hodor's body and see him nearly take the guy's head off :sneaky:

Can somebody please explain the deal with that kid's hand being on fire? what was that all about? Twin Peaks moment!

I think i read somewhere that she's refusing to do any more nude scenes. In which case she better start doing something more interesting then!

Patience my friend. Keep the faith. I believe next week's episode will give us something to appreciate (not the nudity, but you can't have everything ;)).

I thought the last 10-12 minutes of Ep6 was amongst the more dramatic I've ever seen. Dinklage's performance was looking great up until the point when Shae appeared - then he took it to another level. Just epic. I've been trying to work out who'll fight for him and who for the crown, but too many people & possibilities to choose from.

And the dragons are back (well, one of them)!!!

I'm loving it.

Niiiiiiice!

I did think he should have shut up really

That'll teach him to show boat. ;) anyway I would have called it a draw as there both dead!
Are they???????????
Do we know this really???????

IF they are, what does that mean for Tyrion? Will Tywin's "verdict" be overturned?

Another absolutely exquisite hour of television (especially coming after the 2-week drought); I've watched it twice now - so much happened in that episode. So many storylines made some significant progress.

Apart from the obvious - for me, the standout was Sansa's giving "evidence" against Baelish, and that story unfolding. How sexy did she look walking down the stairs??? And who'd have thought 2 blokes talking about squashing bugs could be so fascinating?

Who know's we'll have to wait and see.

Totally agree about Sophie Turners acting (Sansa Stark), simply outstanding. For me the best characters at the moment are Tyrian and Sansa plus I can't wait to see the bond between Aya and The Hound develop even further.

Awesome episode this week - massive fight across the huge set. When the camera flies across round all the action you realise how big it was. The giants were pretty well done too (can't quite believe just how far powerful their longbow was however). And that annoying Ygritte is dead. Nearly as pleased at that as I was when Joffrey popped it.

i was annoyed with this weeks episode. I wanted to see the storyline of tyrion after where it left it last week and it wasn't shown at all. Was an annoying filler episode

Yep I agree. Of all the key characteres, Snow is one I am least interested in. Not a good one for me.
