So i'v been using my 40D with 17-40 L for about a month now, fully uninsured.

Being that it's all together worth about £1400 I thought i'd get some insurance.

Went with E&L full cover professional, covers everything, even theft from my car, all for like £6 per month. Pretty good deal.

Eeeek! So many people have said don't use E&L because they're naff if you need to claim.
If you're within the period where you can cancel with no charges, check out Photoguard instead.
 
apparently, with E&L, a car where the boot can be accessed from the folding rear seats isn't covered ;)
 
mmmm that seems really reasonable.....I definitely need some cover so will look into it...

after reading the other posts it now doesn't seem so great lol
 
Oh rite...better cancel it then and go with photoguard (which is actually even cheaper).

Never ever again. More likely to help the thief carry my stuff away and charge the batteries for him. I've more chance at getting something out of it then. Even if it is a thank you.
 
Yeah actually their cover for cars is a complete waste of time. If the boot is accessable from the car then they don't cover...seriously...that's completely retarded. Any boot can be accessed by the car, even if it dosen't have fold-down seats or a parcel shelf, there's always a boot release button.

Basically they DON'T cover theft from your car...stupid. Cancelling on Monday...

It has to be able to be locked from the outside with a key also. Not just central locking.
These people advertise in every Camera mag. How many people have got insurance and don't realise what a waste of money it is.
E&L really do need to sort this wording out soon. I hope they have got a stand at the Focus show. :annoyed:
