I'd scrap the lotus? ferrari? big yellow mean machine next to it to make room ;)

Ahh I love old beetles. My sons both had them and we used to go to Bug Jam at santa Pod each year where you could see some amazing examples. I hope you are kinder to yours than my boys were at your age. They did all sorts of dodgy modifications and my youngest blew the engine on his trying to overtake a Golf GTi on the motorway. So be kind to yours.:)

1500 miles? rebuilt engine?

Yup a rebuilt engine! Yeah the ferrari is there because my dad is rebui/ding the engine on it

when are you painting 53 on it ;)

Awesomeness! I love old cars, they are so much more fun. Mines currently off the road awaiting some structral welding repairs, I really need to make time and get it done.

They're Ok to look at but I wouldn't want to go back to 70s crash protection, a mate is rebuilding a Mk II Escort, now he has it down to a bare shell it looks really flimsy compared to modern cars

1969...Best year bug they mate. Check this "barn find" out... It belongs to my best mate and i'm helping him restore it. It was last on the road in '87. He's owned it since '86

Semi Auto with 33000 genuine documented miles

I had one of those rusting away lying in my garage for 2 years, someone had spent thousands restoring it then my mate bought it....and it never turned a wheel again

I had an old 1962 Beetle I bought for £120 years ago when I was skint and needed a car for work. What can I say...6 volt electrical system. The headlights let you see about 10 feet ahead of you. A radio the size of a small house, but.......it never once failed to start, it ran like a sewing machine and I think I had it serviced once in 2 years. The floor fell out so I scrapped it. Some guy bought it for £50, ran it for another 2 years till the body rotted and the engine was put into a beach buggy that's probably still running!! They don't make them like that anymore.....
