Got my 40D today!

Went to Jessops at lunchtime today to see if they'd pricematch warehouse express for the 40D body, which they did and threw in a free bag and a half price circular polariser!

So I'm now the proud owner of a brand new 40D! :thumbs:

And the good news is that I'm heading up north on Sunday for a few days and the forecast isn't too bad, so I'm gonna get a chance to put it through it's paces very quickly!

Hopefully I'll have loads of images to post soon!

Jessops in Liverpool city centre recently told me that their company policy states that they will only price match with stores within a 2-mile radius. Pah!
 
So are you going to be posh and have two bodies.
 
Snap, me too. Allthough I got mine from a place in Rochdale.

i wanted the 40D but a lil to far out of my reach so i settled for a 450D, i might just leave it a few months save up sell the 450D and get the 40D :D its so tempting lol
 
I just purchased a 40D and am in love. I'm moving up from a 350D so it's a huge step for me. I was trying to decide between a 30D and the 40D. Enjoy your purchase!
 
I've hardly had a minute alone with it since it's purchase, I can't wait till tomorrow!! :lol:

dont worry mate play them at there own game next time you get a quote like that just tell them you,ll get it somewhere that will they sone chage there mind they NEED the buisness
 
:thumbs:It's a great piece of kit -- i did an Experience Seminar day on it as it was a big step up from 350D...this was worthwhile - a whole day just getting to know everything..nice one...enjoy:thumbs:
 
:thumbs::)I'm jealous i want to upgrade from my 350D but want some L glass too, I decided to go the other way and get the lens first so I'm waiting delivery of my new 100-400, i hope i made the right choice. got to start saving again. good luck Dave post some shots soon....JIM

Is Warehouse Express not a shop which is just warehouse based, no retail shop? Jessops refused to match any price on any non retail shop company.

They have a showroom where local people can pop in, buy and save on postage. Warehouse is a couple of miles away IIRC
