All you need is an aerosol of that "New Car Smell" spray to make it perfect

PS does that front spoiler go over speed bumbs??

I love the rims and tyres. Though, personally I'm too old for such ultra low profile tyres, but they sure do give your car a lot of appeal.

It's nice, the mods are quite subtle really, hopefully the exhaust is subtle too as these Honda's can be annoyingly loud.

Got some bigger discs there too by looks of things, can you get 4 pots easily enough for them?

I like the wheels. But then I do have some similar ones, 5 spoke though on my Datsun

Not my type of car at all, but glad you're happy!

Cheers,
James

cheers for the comments guys and im not 16 im 21 thank you and yes it goes over speed bumps and yes i have 4 pot brakes on it at the moment

thanks again

P.S im not a chav just like modified cars i also like white trainers would that make me a chav also its so easy to stereotype but u shouldnt judge a book by its cover

LOL. Nice car - capable of embarrassing some very expensive metal. I ran a Nighthawk Black EP3 for 4.5 years and loved it. I have the new shape CTR now and love it even more.

Make sure you check the oil at least once a week -these VTEC engines can use some oil, but it varies. Check the tyre pressures regularly too- it makes a huge difference to the handling of that model particularly.

Nice wheels btw.

21 makes a big difference to the insurance cost. 25 is the magic number though, the insurance on my 2 cars is less than the tax that sits behind the windscreen.

youre 21 and you can afford the insurance on a civic type-r?
how much is the insurance (if you dont mind me asking)

i could barely get insured on a metro when i was 21

I know of a 19 year old on the CTR Forum who was paying £3.5K

For a moment I thought your tyres were flat there! Talk about Low Profile. Looks like a lot of fun to me!

I didn't say you're a chav, I said that the exhaust looks chavvy.

Dunno what a CTR forum is but £3.5k pa over 5 years is more or less a deposit on a house, even in these straitened times.

The Civic Type R is generally referred to as the CTR. The lad's 21 and I don't suppose he gives a stuff about buying houses at the moment, he's enjoying life and good luck to him.

lol im paying 700 quid fully comp with tescos and yes ure right i dont wanna buy a house as the economys all over the place i just wanna have a good time

CT u a member of the civictype-r.co.uk forum???

Yeah - I'm a member of the CTR forum and the Type R Owners forum. I don't post on either board much these days though. Well worth you joining one or both of them though, as you'll find lots of useful info on your new chariot.

blimey 700 is extremely good. Is that for a standard Civic or a Modified one?

I'm 35 with over 9 years NCB. I live in London, but my car is insured in a village in the middle of nowhere, and my best insurance price is £500..

Hmm does sound quite expensive. Are parts expensive or hard to get for that car now MG Rover declined?

I live in a Romford postcode, am 27, 3 points and insure a Citreon Xantia TD and a Datsun with ~400bhp. Guess what's cheaper than annual road tax?

700 pounds all mods declaired in cardiff city centre

Blimey £700 for a Type R and you'r only 21, I'm being done!!!!! :shake:

Have fun driving your new car! I'm 37 and driving my fastest car yet..... a Mini One! :D I would probably be dangerous in anything faster!

Good for you, life is too short, make the most of it while you can:clap::clap::clap:

Too right, thoroughly agree with you. Until recently I`ve had hondas for the last fifteen years, they`ve always been hugely reliable motors. Good choice sir!

yes i am the named driver aged 21 3 years no claims bonus's with tesco

Nice car dude, looks fresh and clean, and I agree about it being the best shape civic.

Allthough I'm not sure i'd chop a 1.8T Quattro in for one, but I'm a Vdub lover.

im with badgerbaiter on this one, think you missed a 1 from infront of your £700

bearing in mind that a civic typeR is a group17 insurance car (according to parkers price guide), and your telling me that your getting insurance for it that cheap when you fit slap bang into the "high risk" catagory and you happen to be insuring it to a city centre address. £700 is a damn good insurance quote for someone your age driving something like a vauxhall corsa 1.0, let alone someone with a civic typeR, something doesnt add up to me.

even putting someone your age on a policy as a named driver would throw the insurance quote way above £700!!!

I hear a rumble:D

:D

I think I'm paying around £550 with 15 yrs NCB and car garaged at night on a stock CTR and I'm 3 times the OP's age. I had a couple of mods on my last CTR - CAI and exhaust and I know how much insurance companies load these cars for mods. A car as heavily modded as the OP's would be caned on insurance if the mods are declared, so given all the facts it does seem a little strange doesn't it?

Don't wanna be seeing this thread go nuclear though. ;)
