Just got back from New York to home for the next few months (Webster, MA) managed to get a Canon G11 and 5 year international warrenty for £305 :) makes me happy. Used it a bit already and it seems like a perfect camera. Im glad I went for it over the LX3 as the zoom and controls are much better!

Always good to see someone emerging from the compact choice jungle a happy bunny.

i love my G11 for travel its perfect.

think ill keep it as a 'day out' lens when im home.

i got mine in Vietnam for similar money. much cheaper than HK, singapore and bangkok.

Plus it flash syncs to around 1/2000 of a second :D

wish i brought my Metz with me, along with remote.

do you know how hard it is to find cheap camera bits out here, a nonOEM remote was 25 quid, uk ebay has them for 4. its so strange its all made here but costs so much.

Look forward to seeing some samples.
I really like my G10.
If it did 720p video clips, it would be the perfect cam.

I picked up a G11 the other week too.

Not really had a chance to have a serious play yet, but it looks perfect for what I wanted - reasonable quality shots without dragging a car load of camera gear.

My holidays can now be actual holidays and not just another photographic assignment.

I have a G9 and am very envious of all you G11 owners. However, I do have to say that I love my G9 and am very pleased with the results that it is able to achieve.

such a let down it doesn't, after all the hoo haar about the G10 not having it, you think they'd have put it in the newer one.

The G11 is one camera that I've had to talk myself out of buying for now. I'd love to get it right now if I could though. However, since I don't really need it until the end of the year, I've decided to wait and see what the G12 offers when it finally arrives, which I assume it will do around Sept?

Hi Richard This is my first post on here but as I have just bought a Canon G11 which I have to start and learn how to use an would be very interested in how you go with the G11 as you are obviously are a profesional looking at your Web Site. I recently sold my 400d equipment as I have been retired for a good while now and found it quite heavy to carry about, looking forward to perhaps seeng some of your G11 work.
Regards Jeff
