Hi all, I'm in need of a new Gorillapod for my compact, as the two I have (one genuine, one copy) have developed the loose connection issue where the plastic cracks and then legs won't stay gripped.
So before I fork out for another, is there a recommended alternative, or have they improved the product recently?
If both genuine and copy versions suffer the same issue, I may as well just buy a cheap one off ebay...?
Cheers!

Write to Gorillapod. They have a pretty good reputation for customer service and dealing with defects in their products.

Thanks Chris. I have engaged them to see if they can help and I'm just awaiting a response...

Well good news! After emailing Joby, they referred it to their uk support team (Manfrotto) who (after me providing a couple of pics to them), sent me a brand new Gorillapod 500 today, overnight! What fantastic service!
