Yes
There's been some talk about Gorillapods hereabouts. And some scepticism. This is the Daddy of Gorillapods. Its a beast. It costs £85. So it better be good.

Its light. It will go in my bag easily enough. The box says its good for a 5kg payload. I'd agree.

I'd guess its about 30cm high.

You can either put your camera on the plate directly, or it will take a standard tripod head. There are screw fittings for both.

It takes my 30D and 24-70mm just fine

Its rock solid wrapped around things too - which is really what its designed to do - I'd trust it hanging off a cliff ledge ..

Top piece of kit. Pricey, yes. Light. Convenient. Will have a permanent place in my bag.

That looks a bit more substantial than the regular plastic (I take it the Focus is partially metal by the looks of it) ones...

Yeah - its metal. Except for the rubber bits. If you see what I mean.

It will probally be because the canon caps clip off by grabbing them from the outside, and with that hood being so big, it would be hard to clip it off so you put a Nikon one on because they pinch from the middle of the cap...

^^^ What he said.

You have great difficulty trying to get the canon lens caps off when the hood is on. Not the greatest design.

Yup indeedy - I've got nikon caps on most of my lenses for that very reason.

This thing is very very interesting. A bit cheaper and i'd give it a whirl!

Ok, I accept that, but at least use Sigma ones :D
