Gopro studio or alternative?

Hoping to use a MacBook Pro retina late 2013 model to do some light gopro footage editing

Use gopro studio or any other alternatives? Would be good to be able to have easy effects, add text etc.

Will be for stitching videos of family days and events, so low key personal use

It is pretty easy yet competent.
I find the rendering seems to go through much quicker than Adobe Premiere for example.
Well worth trying since it's free.

It's pretty good for light editing, you can add text, titles, cut and split video files too. Give it a go it doesn't take long to get the hang of it.
