Hopefully not for a good month or so, there are still lots of issues with it. I thought they'd be storming through the buglist/suggestions with it being a beta test type thing but they've done extremely little in the three weeks I've been a member.

Not sure what bugs are effecting you but I have seen lots of things been added and fixed last few weeks. which bugs are you suffering from?

same here, I was one of the first to sign up to gmail when it launched, eve ngot an invite to Wave before it was fully released but can not get a g+ account to save my life :D

I like the look of it, prefer it to facebook which has got tiresome with all those invites for crap games all the time! Im Scott Lewis on there.

theres a big ol' thread in the computers section which appears to be invites.

does anyone have an actual use for google+ yet? nobody could tell me when i asked in there last.

Less bugs, more just stuff that isn't right.

Have a look in the discussion group for the Google+ project. There's stuff there that's been posted every day since I joined three weeks ago including a few things that were "being looked at" and they've not been touched. I've seen a few really minimal changes being done (things like the +1 button now renders faster apparently) but nothing proper. The only thing they've worked on out of the stuff that gets posted every day is re-ordering circles.

You still can't make your profile photos not comment-able by people not in your circles,
You still show as in someone's circles when you block them (this was reported on the first day I started looking at the discussion forum and was identified as a bug being fixed by some Google staff, it keeps getting repeated in the forums and they still haven't fixed it three weeks on)
You still can't exclude circles from your stream (you have to view them all at once or one at a time)
The settings pages are still a mess,
You still can't disable resharing by default,
I reported someone two weeks ago for posting pornography in public streams and no action has been taken but if someone has a funny sounding name they get suspended.

That's just the stuff that bothers me, there's plenty more in the discussion forums.

Well it is still a beta and still in development so there are always going to be a few things that do not work 100% from day one, these small things will hopefully be corrected in time but like any new software etc it all takes time and it would be unfair to exspect instant fixes. I for one am glad of the chance to hopefully help and it to a finished product that is better than anything we have at present.

Not sure why you would not want people to comment on your scrap book images, what harm can it do ?

If you have blocked someone and you still appear in there circles, they cannot comment on anything you post and you do not see there stream so again unsure what harm is being done by still showing in there circles?

I have not found resharing to be a problem at all so cannot comment on this.

As for porn being posted I agree it should be removed, as I have added all my contacts(streams) and only view these streams I am only getting feeds from streams I am interested in, not sure what you mean by public streams? would you not have to of added the stream to your circles to view it in the first place? and if that is the case just block that stream if it has turned out to be not what you where exspecting.

As for the funny sounding names being suspended till the person changes it, in away I agree that real names should be used or at least be searchable in profiles. I think Google is trying to ensure that it's social network builds into a more proffesional service and does not becoming another face book
from the 200+ people I have in my circles all have normal names and have not had anyone complain about not being able to use a funny name.

Cheers

That's my point, there hasn't been anywhere near enough development. There are loads of things for them to be working on and things they've specifically said they're working on that still haven't been done - while stuff that's rather frivolous is being touted as good progress.

Why would you want people you don't know and have no wish no know being able to comment on parts of your profile? You get the option regarding every other part of the profile so why not that one? It's at-odds with the way Google is representing Google+ as a bastion of privacy control.

If you have blocked someone and you still appear in there circles, they cannot comment on anything you post and you do not see there stream so again unsure what harm is being done by still showing in there circles?
You're shown as being associated with them when you're not (which could be an issue for a whole host of reasons, being in someone's circle means something much more intimate in real life than on Google+ and people who don't use it aren't going to know that), but it's mainly the fact they admitted this was a bug and that they were working on it three weeks ago and yet it's still happening.

I have not found resharing to be a problem at all so cannot comment on this.
It's a bit of a silly UI issue really. You have to post something and then set that it can't be reshared which is at odds with the way the rest of it is laid out. It also leaves a slim opportunity for someone to reshare something you don't want to be reshared, which is again at odds with the "yay privacy control" mantra.

I was more getting at the fact Google are actively searching for and banning people over an arguable point* while someone doing something explicitly against the terms and conditions has been ignored despite being reported.
Though the content would be appearing on the nearby feed for people using the mobile app as it was set to the "public" level of privacy.

*The terms don't require your real name, they require a name you are commonly known by. There are plenty of people not known by their name as it would appear on their driver's license/passport, plenty of people who're well known by a "username" type name or a stage name and plenty of people who don't want to disclose their own name for privacy reasons (such as those relating to wanting to avoid abusive ex partners and that kind of thing).
Google's argument against it was that it stops fake accounts and makes you more findable which is nonsense as you can make a fake account with a real name and who are they to judge how easily your friends would find you by the name you've chosen?

Thanks for replying, I am not really sure from reading your reply why you are using a social network like Google+, but we are all diffrent and all want diffrent things. Hopefully all will be fixed and inproved to a level that all can be happy with.

Cheers
