Google+

I got in yesterday but they closed the back door soon after ....
 
I am in but not sure how to send invites. How do i send out invites?
 
Add a person to circle but use email address instead. Then comment on the circle.
 
It appears to be letting some people I invited yesterday in now, not sure whether there's a time delay on the queue, but it does still let people in.
 
That's what i'm finding so far, that only Gmail account holders appear to be getting through.
 
If anyone has a spare invite I would appreciate it :)

Invites sent to both of the above posts. May take a day to let you in, but just keep trying.
 
I'm using a non-gmail address and haven't got on in about 24hrs of waiting so far.

Edit: Tried again 30 seconds later and I'm in on an @btinternet.com address. 30 hours after invite.

How exactly do you login? Do they ask you to create a new google account using your btinternet address? :thinking:

It appears that the invites are open once again.

Get them in whilst you can.

From the email I kept clicking on 'view or comment on [name]'s post' then clicked on the invite button. Whilst I couldn't join there was always a grey box to the right saying something like 'keep me posted' but once I was able to join that grey box was replaced with my details and an option to join. Hope that helps!

Nope, no need to create other email accounts.

Nothing has shown up yet though I would have thought it would be in my inbox by now

Sorry i am being thick today. How do you login after you logout? Dont you have to enter a username and password and if so dont you need to create the account to get the username and password that you would use to log in?

At the top right it will let you log into your Gmail account. Then go to plus.google.com and it "should" give you the ability to enter your details to create your account for google+

Yes i can log in using my Gmail account i was just wondering how people are managing to login using non-gmail email addresses without having to create a gmail account like the btinternet one mentioned earlier.

Ah they will have to sign up for a google account using their invited address be it btinternet or otherwise. It will then let them access google plus

Right folks it appears that it's non gmail accounts getting through now. Seems like access is pretty instant too.
