Google Maps on iPhone

For some reason, Google Maps isn't letting me set home or work addresses. When I tap the relevant buttons, the screen darkens a little for a half a second but nothing happens.

Do you have 'history' turned off? I can only set home etc on Android version if I give google permission to record my movements.

I'd dig around in settings: sharing location or similar. I have history turned off for google on my phone so it won't save a home location, previous addresses I've navigated to etc.

Hi Marc,

Firstly I have no idea when it comes to iphones etc as I don't have one ( although that will soon change so expect a dozen threads from me asking why I can't get it to work! lol)

I googled issues with google maps on iphones and amongst other responses I gort the following:

Wether or not they will be of help is debatable but perhaps there will be snippets of info in them that could lead you on further to resolving the problem.

Thanks for the links, didn't help unfortunately. I found something else I could turn on that was supposed to help (web & app services) but that didn't make any difference.
