For some bizzare reason the google earth program that I downloaded free a few years ago has suddenly decided to no longer work.
I thought initially it was a fault on the laptop but the same version won't load on the desk top either!

I know if I do a search I could probably find a number of downloads to replace what I have but it's finding one that doesn't host any nasties ( virus etc)

Does anyone have a suitable safe link?

oh i think it's the way the planet comes up on the screen when the program loads...the mrs seems to get something from that ....Yes I know small things entertain small minds! lol

kind of like dangling a lightbulb in front of a moth? ...could be used to your advantage that one :)

I was using it earlier this year to follow the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France - found a site that had downloadable maps of the routes, so I could see on a 3d contoured map, just exactly how steep and nasty some of the days rides were... came in handy when I was picking my "fantasy Cycle Race Team" and knowing which rider to put my joker on for a given day. Yes - I'm a geek!

would you believe I've actually seen her do that in a dark room but with a torchlight....much to her amusement and my annoyance!! lol

I can't - most of 'em involve my learned friend from post #6... he didn't get that custom name-tag for nothing :lol:

as long as he doesn't set one of those nasty things that live in his lenses on me, I'm not worried...

So that's why those lenses throw out such good shots....it's not the photographers skill...it's all down to his "little helper" !! lol

Going by my shots, I could do to start breeding "little helpers" ....I need all the help i can get....Not just in photography!! lol
