So, I have received my 3 day tickets, paddock access (GRRC member) and roving grandstand pass for Friday. Waistcoat and flat cap, and maybe cravatte for 2 of the days.

Seen some incredible images from folk on here that go to Revival and the Member's meetings. need to motivate myself to go early and leave late this year.

Do get envious of the guys in the white bibs that go trackside of the fence, except when a driver loses control and a classic come barrelling towards them. I feel so safe behind a picket fence....

So, who else will be going?

Any newbies looking for advice as to what to see? I've been a regular since 2009. Cheeky Chars and the Glamcabs girls are great first calls for portraiture.

Nobody go?

2 days of glorious blistering sunshine, followed by rain and some dented metal and bruised pride on Sunday...

Still loads of images to download and process but did what I always do, Saab hunting captured here: Welshwizard's Saabs at Goodwood. Some from previous years and Member's Meetings are in the same folder....... I will be posting some more select photos in the coming days/weeks...

Hoping to see photos from others...

Anyone going in 2024? Been going for 15 years now and not bored of it... weather forecast seems variable.

Any first timers looking for tips?

I'm thinking of going for one day as I now live within driving distance.
I'm a first-timer so any suggestions are useful.
My interest is not so much the motorsport but more the characters and general views.

Also, which is the quitest day?

Quietest day is Friday. Saturday is usually the busiest.

I can't remember what the theme is this year but they do put on a spectacle, local actors get involved. Look for the Cheeky Chars (2 saucy cleaning ladies with a colourful vocabulary - Dolly and Gracie) and The Glamcabs Girls. People do dress up, some more successfully than others, sure they will be more than happy to pose. Lots of historic cars parked around the circuit, that is a trap to me and delays my entry into the circuit - like Jez I am GRRC so we have parking closer to the entrance.

There won't be a shortage of things to see, Racing-wise the RAC Trophy and St Mary's are spellbinding.

Early arrival is recommended. Friday is usually chaotic getting into the car parks. 8am dawn patrol by Spitfire and Mustang (always miss that). Food not cheap but quite good, and varied. Lots of water fountains, so no ripoff water prices.

All three days. Also a GRRC member... :)

Just had a quick gander at your Goodwood photos, very nice. I'll be making my way through the classic cars from the Member's car park as I always do and miss the first few races.... and of course, the bacon and egg baps slow me down too.

Went to the very first Revival Festival and thoroughly enjoyed it. Took my father in law with me, who was just so happy. He used to go to Goodwood in the 60's and was there when Stirling Moss had his big shunt. Managed to blag our way into the member's enclosure using some original early 60's paddock passes that he (without my knowing) had in his jacket pocket, complete with the original programme.

Not been back since, but may go in the future.

Much busier now, Friday used to be the quiet day (and free) but is now also very busy...

I can imagine that it has ‘grown’ somewhat from that first time. I was there on the Friday (setting up one of the exhibits) and of course had a decent look around. Then went back on the Saturday with FIL.

Thanks Peter!

We're early birds - I'll hopefully be on the Aero Club roof in time for the dawn patrol - Spitfire, Mustang and Thunderbolt this year I'm reliably informed. Then breakfast!

I’ve only been twice, 2 years ago and 12 years ago, unfortunately cannot make this year. I enjoyed both visits, certainly appreciated having a paddock pass each time. There were more aircraft flying displays at my first visit. Great for photography as there are no massive safety fences like Silverstone. My main complaint from my second visit was that it was too busy for my liking.

Shoreham did it for the flying displays, restricting flights over crowds sadly.

Stuff kicking off at work, the rain and small matter of forgetting to book the day off means I am sitting at my desk,,,,'working'

Rubbish weather most weekend, coupled with extremely unreliable weather forecast meant I missed the dawn patrol, and a significant number of races. Venue was overcrowded on Sunday....

Saw both dawn patrols, but spent most of Friday in the member's tent, walked around the circuit and actually saw some racing on Saturday, and bailed out on Sunday about 12:30. Not the best revival ever... :(

2025 Revival is almost upon us, I have booked Friday and Sunday this year. Hoping my get up and go gets up and going tomorrow.... weather promises to be better than Sunday.

I will be hunting for the Cheeky Chars mostly, then sitting trackside to see some of the action during the practices for some of the races (definitely St Mary's), checking out the bookshop on books on Saabs/NSUs, and finally milling around the car parking areas. My Saab NG9-5 will be in the member's parking area. Sunday will be mostly following the racing and vising the paddock areas.

Weather was not brilliant, Got thoroughly soaked in the morning. Got better towards the afternoon.
Wasn't as busy as I expected. Just a pain getting out.
By that it sounds like you went on Saturday. It was the opposite on Sunday, heavens opened around 3pm and the exodus started but as I was parked in the Member's area I left pretty quickly... Sunday was fairly quiet compared to previous years too, Friday was very busy.
