Heading down to Goodwood FOS on Thursday, it'll be my first time doing any Motorsport photography so will be fun.

Can anyone give me any recommendations of where to go/stand to get some good pictures of the cars coming up the track and/or rally stage?

Any tips in general would be useful :)

i am hoping to go on saturday although it is further than i thought from me,but i have been offered a free ticket

Not sure how much actually goes on on Thursday. But for the rally stage you can get round to most of it. As for the hill it depends where you can get to (due to the number of other people that want to be in the same place)
You can sometimes get better shots as they come down the hill from the paddock. The Paddock can be good for getting the drivers & riders as they get ready. But again can get busy.

One thing I will say is enjoy the day, and treat any photographs as a bonus. That's what we did last year and we went for 3 days.

Pop over to Nissan stand and say hello! I'm working the stand on Thursday so should be there most if the day apart from a stint driving the 370z nismo up the hill, would be great if you could grab a shot :)

Thursday is mainly just normal road cars, friends got free tickets so it's a day to have a go at photography for me. I'm mostly going for the rally stage so anything else running up the hill is a bonus :)

I'll certainly pop by, want to see if the interior of the Juke Nismo is as crazy (in a good way) as the outside!

Don't think we have the juke nismo there, the 370z nismo will be with and has a similar interior :)

Shame if so, goodwood website said "Nissan (370Z Nismo, Juke R Nismo)"

Juke R is a tad different than the nismo :) if it is there I'll be over the moon and defo getting some close ups :).

Can't wait to drive the 370 up the hill :) :) :)

My brain ignored the R, now twigged that it's the GT-R based one! Nicee.

I have a ticket for saturday, I only want to see the pug 208 T16 pikes peak and the vulcan, just trying to find out when it will be going up the hill.

Off to GW on saturday, first time for me so very excited. Looking forward to putting my D7000 through its paces. The weather looks like it will be lovely the whole weekend.

You want to be parked up by 7.30am at the latest!

Traffic will be a nightmare until midday if it is anything like today.

Thanks for the heads up. Hoping to be there for 7ish. Hopefully should miss the worst of it.

Down there tomorrow and Sunday probably. 3rd or 4th time going, should be fun! As other's have said - get there early though, Parking is a pain, but you'll get a free tractor ride :-)

That was so much busier this year than previous Friday's! Admittedly I've not been for a couple of years, but today was a bit manic!
