A few of you are aware my Dad has been struggling with the big C for the last year. Well he lost the fight on Wednesday night.

He was a very keen photographer for most of his life; used to run a camera club when I was a little girl, did weddings etc and generally was never without his camera. The one I remember most was a Yashicamat (not sure if thats how to spell it!) but he also had many others. Mum wants me to have them all.

I've just popped home for the night to get a few bits and pieces, so grabbed the opportunity to get on line again.......no internet at mums. Will be away again for about a week, so have fun in Bolton, sorry I can't be there.

That is so sad. It sounds like a merciful release for your dad, but that doesn't ease the pain for you and your family right now. Keep your chin up and help your mum through the next few days, which I'm sure you will.

oh I so sad to hear your news....Dad's are so special.....his cameras will be a comfort to you I'm sure. I have my Dad's binoculars (amongst other things), I love to look through them as his eyes did. My Dad died in 1987, stay strong and take comfort from those that care for you....
 
My deepest sympathies. My father died recently too, try and remember the good times you had rather than dwell on his passing.
 
Like Joe says it has all been said already - a very sad time - my dad died in 2005 so I really can say I know how you are feeling - see you around in a week or so ... Paul :thumbs:
