Good starter lens to go with Canon 5D Mark II

I'm going to stick my neck out here......what about the 50mm f1.4, either Siggi or Canon, good length for portraits and fast for indoor work, weddings etc. Then perhaps something like the 24-105 as suggested for outside portraits or groups in good light where f4 would be suitable and then say the 70-200 f4 (non is) for outside candids etc.

You could probably pick all those 3 up for less than £1k in the sales forum. With this you cover 50mm to 200mm in prime or L with low light capability into the bargain.

The Las Vegas street prices are actually more expensive than UK (checked them 2 days ago).
