Yes
I hope this doesn't count as cheating. But I'm going to Florida soon, and basically im looking for suggestions or past experiences from people who have shot there. I will be staying in the International Drive area in orlando, and then in clearwater.

I was wondering if anyone has found some good spots to shoot?

Bush gardens was great, plenty of wildlife.
downtown disney at night (its were the locals drink)
infact all the parks offered great photo oppotunites,
i would love to go again,
good luck and have fun.

Any perticular you would say were brilliant places too shoot. Would like some more detail if its not too much hassle :)

Went there a few years back and took about 5000 shots from start to finish
the best for me was bush gardens, but really its whats there on the day
ie.. weather, are the wildlife out in the open, etc, epcot was also great, i could have spent a week there without getting bored.

oh yer forgot about old town (kissimmee is where we stayed) they gave me a beer in a brown bag lol.

just very quickly (and not the best) a few i found

Even coming in there is photo oppotunites, this is one of the power stations that power the cape.

We have transport, so will try get to kissimee. Daytona near there?

Also maybe try get to miami, i know its 4 hours there and then the sameback. But dont know if we want to drive at night in un known territory lol.

The plan last time to america, transfer was at phili, we flew over a us naval base when landing which i coulda got out the airport to it.

A day at Kennedy Space Centre (about 70 miles) might interest you. Then there are the airboats in Kissimmee - drive yourself along the waterways (but it's been a few years since I was last there).

Kissimmee is next to Disney. Daytona (race track) and Daytona beach are on the east coast, about 50 miles north of the space centre.

Look up Fantasy of Flight if you like old aeroplanes. Fascinating place.

The classic shots are the disney parades and fireworks, downtown disney.

If you want something different then you can take a canoe ride down the mangroves/river in tampa, or the beaches south of Tampa are amazing.

I don't think the problem will be what to shoot. just have you enough storage :D

clearwater is a nice place been there a good few times there is lots of oppotunities in florida but make sure you head to the beach and the pier you can go fishing rent a rod for pennies and also check out the artists along the pier if they still go some tog oppotuniteis there too

I've been to Florida 4 times in the last 8 months and I've been pretty much all over the place from The Keys up to Orlando. I've done a write up about some good Wildlife locations but its a little out of date - working on a new version at the moment.

Most of the area's are probably too far south for you though :(

Driving around is simple enough and you can't beat the Miami skyline at night, so I'd think about heading down that way if you can. Wherever you go there are plenty of good photo ops to be had :D

Epcot (especially the fireworks at night), Universal studios, Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Centre, Kissimee, all good :)

Surprised no one has said Sea World. Some great photos can be taken there. Just takes a little time to get the good shots

silversprings is a lovely little place for animal photos albeit they are in encosures and for old style houses etc the town of celebration is beautiful.

Yup - got shots of killer whales spashing the audience, girl on noise of killer whale as it jumps out the pool etc.

It's really nice at dusk as well when they light up the paths.
