Good Service From Canon Elstree - 1Ds Shutter Replacement

I bought a Canon 1Ds Mk1 off ebay which needed a new shutter.

I spoke to one of my clients who is in the photographic industry, he reckoned Canon at Elstree would be the best people to replace it.

I posted the camera off on Friday last week, they received it Monday, Tuesday I had a pdf quote emailed to me, I rang up and paid them (£267 inc VAT and shipping) and within the hour got a text and email saying they had started the job. On Wednesday I got another text and email with a UPS shipping number and the camera arrived back with me at 9.30am today (Thursday).

I was kept informed all the way through, it was a quick turnaround (especially considering it wasn't done through CPS or anything) and reasonably priced.

All in all I was well impressed, thanks Canon

That sounds good value, I was taking to a chap the other week who said it cost him £500+ for a new shutter on a Nikon.

I too have just had dealings with Elstree, and must say the service was very fast indeed.
