Good place to buy frames?

Wilkinsons, along with your toilet paper and toothpaste.

Cheap and theyre of fair quality

Cheers - I just bought one of their cheapest clip frames and it was pretty terrible though. The perspex was really cloudy and the picture looked terrible. Some of the actual frame ones looked ok but didn't have the size i was after.

Hi Graham

Having visited large branches of Ikea, B&Q warehouse, Wilkinson and The Range for decent looking and cheaply priced frames, the ‘The Range’ defiantly have the best choice of styles and all in a great selection of sizes.
Check out their website for store locations. However, unfortunately their frames are not feature on the site.

I 2nd that reccomendation. They do a great range of mounts and frames, at exceptional prices.

Just be sure to have a good check of the condition in store, because i think some of them get thrown at the shelf rather tham placed on it by the staff.

Just discovered there is one in Bradford and I happen to be going there for a curry tomorrow night :)

Nice one folks.

Is it for you/family/friends or for a client?

If it's for you, then the best place to buy frames is the charity shop!

You can get some real bargains there and it's actually quite easy to cut mountboard to fit. That way you're not stuck with the same pine or plastic wooden frames and you can choose how to present your images.

In a shameless plug, I wrote a guide for mounting prints into any sized fames here.

Of course, if this is for clients, then you'd better buy a new one and ignore me :)

Hope this helps a little!

Ian.

Hobbycraft do a good range of frames and mounting boards etc.
