Is there a thread to recommend movies - must be somewhere but I can't find it.

Watched 'Mongol', a film about the rise of Gengis Khan. Not what I expected - really enjoyable.

Anyone want to recommend a good film or draw my attention to an existing good film thread? :)
 
Define a "good" film, everyone's idea of what constitutes one is different....

Do you mean good in a technical sense, good as in full of special effects, good as in having a decent storyline (a bit of a stretch nowadays, I know)....
 
Hmmmmm, anything that stops you from getting up and wandering off or just if you thought 'OOoooh that was good' for any reason at all. Does that narrow it down for you? :)
 
Gotcha.....

Last film I watched was Comfort and Joy, starring Bill Patterson and C.P "Altered Images" Grogan. It has a fantastic cast, a great score (by Mark Knopfler) and being it was filmed in Glasgow in the mid-80s,it's interesting seeing how much the city has changed in 20-odd years...
 
I'll go for Dark Blue World.
