Been lurking for about a week now and I'm really liking the forum, everyone seems full of helpful advice and are really friendly people!
I've been messing about with photos for a few years, nothing too serious or in depth more just point and shoot stuff with a random digital camera.
Then last year I decided to spend a bit of money and bought myself a Canon 450D, I'm still learning the ropes! Like the modes, I never knew about the Tv, Av, P uses until I read a thread the other day from someone about taking photos of their dogs. So I went straight out and tried it and was impressed with the immediate results!
So yeah, I'm Chris, obviously. Currently living in Bangor, Northern Ireland but moving to Orillia just outside Toronto in 16 days!
I bought my camera mainly for taking sports photos, especially ice hockey, however I haven't used it for that yet as I'm usually too busy playing to take photos haha So instead my photos have been animals, mostly my dogs (2 german shepherds and a greyhound) I love shooting them and have some really great(imo) photos of them, will post some shortly. I also love the outdoors so a fair bit has been landscape type photos, like in the Mourne mountains, around the local reservoir, the marina, etc.
I love improving in everything I do so if you ever see anything I post that could be improved please let me know however harsh it is, I've a thick skin and love to learn!
So that's enough rambling for now.
