I hope everyone has a great day today :)

I was just talking to one of my colleagues at work yesterday and peoples stories of life are amazing.

She was ambitious and hard working and put a lot into her job. Then suddenly one day her hubby was not too well and the cause of his illness resulted in a kidney transplant. She has a slightly different view on the world now and it's one I share too being widowed at 40.

So everyone work hard but don't forget the reasons you do so, take a moment to have a look round you and just think what life would be like without the people you care about.

Smile about the fact that you have them :love:
 
ahmen to that, my other job has taught my to live "in the here and now" as you have no idea what tomorrow will bring, therefore enjoy what you have now, and be thankful for what tomorrow brings, hope you have a great day:)

Chap i worked with had a heart attack in his very early fifties, he took early retirement once he recovered

His family said sod the money and no point if he wasn't there, does make you realise what's important

Shame more people don't think before its too late
 
My next tattoo is going to be Carpe Diem from one of Horace's odes. Translated from the Latin, it means Seize the day with the rest of the line carrying on to say "trusting as little as possible in the next."

Lost too many friends too young so now LIVE every day rather than just survive an extra 24 hours.

My son is disabled, as those who saw him on C4 last year will know, and has a multitude of problems steming from a diagnosis of Tuberous Sclerosis. His problems include Epilepsy, Autisum, ADHD, challenging behaviour, global developmental delay etc and then last year the OH got diagnosed with MS :bang::bang::bang:.

I do wonder sometimes not whose dog have I kicked but whch kennals did I burn down :shrug:.

Life is what you make it. As my Dad said when William was diagnosed - **** happens but it is how you get up and deal with it that matters!!

My Brother In Law went to the doctor a month ago with a pain in his lower back, they did some tests then a CT scan, he's got kidney cancer at 45, luckily they caught it early so his prognosis is good.

They removed the kidney on Monday, it does make you think about your priorities, i've been paying into an endowment policy for 20 years which matures this month.

I was going to save it but after discussing it with my wife we thought sod it :D we're taking the kids to Florida, could be dead tomorrow.
