Im looking for something to read and digest in my quiet moments and wondered if there is any lighting books which show me a captured image and then a diagram/image showing the lighting positions used to get the image. I want to look at various different lighting positions and see what can be achieved and what i could try to get to. Some will say to try myself and i will experiment but wanted something for when the lights are put safely away for the evening.

I've found Light: Science & Magic (now on it's 4th edition) and Sculpting with Light very good reference books.

I also like Steve Bavister's books on portraiture and still life (Lighting for Portrait Photography & Lighting for Still Life) as they have a good range of interesting shots as well as set up diagrams and camera type and settings.

Youtube is a great media for learning about lighting, both studio set ups and location stuff. You'll find 1000s of good video to watch, from basic to the more advanced.
