Good ideas for photo projects

Im thinking of doing a photo story style project round the local lakes looking at the species of birds that live around and the different conditions the lakes see.

any other suggestions?

How about do the same photo of this lake or something like that and take the image every week and create a video with all the pics in showing the different seasons...

Interesting idea bit for a video you'll have to take several years worth of videos if you do it weekly, even if you do it daily.

James, I've a ponder, try using a wide ish lens maybe, and shoot any and all interesting shore features around the lakes perimeter, but shoot from the perspective of a duck out in the lake . ... so wade out deep for each shot, bend over and shoot low across the water to your subject matter.
