Good deals for poster prints (approx 30"x20")?-now with mini-review of Jessops prints

Anyone come across any good deals for this size of print?

I did a search and came across some good, cheap promotional offers.

Not too fussy about quality for these as they aren't for business purposes!

Pixum were doing some deals recently think I got a 24x20 for £4
 
Thanks that's useful for the big players - was hoping someone would be aware of an extermely cheap smaller company. Suspect that was wishful thinking!
 
To close the loop, I've ordered 4 photos at 75cm x 50cm (so roughly 30x20) for £19 from Jessops with free collection from store.

Seemed very reasonable to me and quality should be fine.
 
Hmmm meant to warn you jessops poster primts are really poor even for personal use. I hope they have got better since I used them 6 months ago, will you update the thread with you honest thoughts when you receive them please,

Thanks Kenny - if a little late! What did you find was the problem with the prints?

If the prints aren't up to standard then it's no real loss (other than a bit of time). I'll check them out in the shop and if they aren't up to scratch I won't take them. My previous experiences of Jessops have been largely good so I won't give up hope quite yet.

(As an aside, I actually ordered through the enlargements menu rather than the poster menu and there was a difference in price so possible that they are handled differently.)

Will try to remember to post back here when I get them - probably next Thursday.

Hi, from memory colour was washed out, this was done online, when I complained lol they were aware that they had a dodgy machine....that in itself hacked me off why it was even sent....they promised to replace, it came worse than the first lol....got a refund and never used them again....

Hope your experience is better
 
Well I have the prints, and I'm not totally impressed.

To my eye the colours are about right - so that was a plus after your comments.

However, I'm not a fine of the ultra gloss paper they use which just seems a little too reflective for images that size (which almost inevitably are going to be on a wall. With hindsight I could have checked what the paper was like before ordering.

One of the prints was a black and white, and there seems to be slight patchiness in the gradients.

There may also be a couple of white blemishes on two of the prints (though I don't have the original files to hand to check against to be certain they weren't in the file)

My biggest gripe, because it's not an issue in which they were limited by the equipment/paper choice, is that the 4 prints arrived with slightly scuffed corners and not quite trimmed properly so there is a thin white line for the left half of the bottom of the prints - so obviously the alignment of the cutting was off.

It's the first time I've had prints of this size on paper (only canvas previously) so my expectations may have been unrealistic but I wasn't totally impressed. On the other hand, for £19 maybe I shouldn't be expecting too much.

Sorry to hear they aren't upto standard. Have you tried using dscl? There 20x30 prints come in at just under £16 and are great.

I haven't had any large prints from DSCL - they would certainly be contenders for anything where quality mattered. (This was very much price driven!)
