hi,i`m after a book on cs5.
id like one with a step by step guide, maybe with photos to follow which i find better to learn from.
thanks chris

kelby - great for straight how to tutorial - here are the settings you should use, easy to read - easier to work through, and probably aimed a bit lower

Martin evening - more manual like, more about what the settings do - probably more comprehensive but a drier tougher read - more useful as a reference

sadly - i think they compliment each other, and at around 15 quid each on amazon - both a good deal

:agree: I've just made the upgrade from CS2 to CS5 and will be able to give more time to my photography so I want to learn more about the program now. I've ended up buying both books because the summary above is spot on; the Kelby one is more about getting from A to B and the Evening one delves deeper into how and why you get from A to B. I can see both being useful.

As others have said, you can't really go wrong with the Scott Kelby or Martin Evening offerings.

However you will find that you will probably end up with both rather than one or the other; my bookshelf bears testament to that going back to CS2/LR1!

If I were only allowed two books - these would be top of the list...
