Ok i maybe a bit spoilt coming from sussex with the good old park cameras nearby, but is there any shops in newcastle which are comparable? I know theres bound to be a Jessops and possibly a Jacobs, but they never really do much for me.

Just wondering........

There's not much choice I'm afraid. The alternative to Jessops and Jacobs is Bonsers in the Bigg Market. It's a small and very traditional camera shop. The young lad who works out back is very knowledgeable about flash (off-camera etc) but the prices aren't cheap due to it being small.

The jessops and Jacobs are opposite each other, about 5 minutes from the train station! I don't know of any as well known as Park cameras though I'm afraid.

D & P Photographic on Gosforth High Street is superb. I am a regular customer. I wouldn't shop anywhere else.
