Hi guys, learned a few of the basic things in photoshop but would like to learn some of the other features. does anyone know a good manual/textbook a could get to help me achieve this?

Chris.

The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby. Great book and easy to use - really practical.
I'm a numpty and have found it really useful :)

Cheers, that was one i was looking at, now you've said that I'll order mine of amazon tomorrow

Chris.

The Kelby book is good (and you can probably pick it up cheap as its CS3) - was the first book I got when started learning PS properly and found it encouraging to get decent results quickly.

As theMusicMan says, there's also lots of stuff online, but sometimes it's a bit overwhelming coming across 20 ways of doing the same thing. Having one approach in a book can be helpful.

I agree with Mark - plus it's easier to have a book open beside you rather than have to either print something from the internet or keep "alt tabbing" back and forth as you work.
