good all round lens for wedding

i would say something like a 24-105mm? you get the good range then, and its not too big a lens
(sorry, not sur eon nikons lenses, but something similar maybe?)

which is a good all round lens for photographing weddings

Anything rose tinted should do it. :D

If you're looking at a one lens solution then that's going to be a very personal choice, taking into account style and the range/quality compromise.

and of course it does all depend on what you feel more comfortable using too.
Say, i wouldnt be comfortable just using a fiddy (50mm prime) so i would take something with a bigger range too, however i have known people to shoot just with the fiddy's and the shots have come out superb!

If you're shooting as the "pro" tog & covering the weddings on your own then you really do need the best glass. The usual wedding setup is the 70-200 2.8VR & the 17-55 2.8 but that's some serious money on glass!! I do however know a wedding tog that uses (& totally swears by) the 18-200 VR lens which covers a massive range but is a tad slow light wise. She gets by with using a great deal of flash.

As Daz stated above, it all depends on range/quality compromise but the 18-200 is a very widely used lens (no pun intended ) & may suit just fine, there are loads of reviews all over the place

I would agree with moomike, unless you have serious money to part with, I'd go with the 18-200mm VR. I shot a wedding with a Nikon 24-120mm last year and the wide angle shots were tricky to get. Read http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/18200.htm. I have this lens and it covers such a wide range of focal lengths, the only drawback is that with a wide range of focal lengths you lose quite a bit of quality in comparison to fixed prime focals.
