#1 Accomodation
A view of harbourside houses taken this morning after a recent snowfall, I was very lucky and just caught the weather closing in above them.

Liked this image the moment I saw it. The red of the boats lifts it a lot. That's a nice sky (I wonder if darkening it a little would make it even better?).

Really like this. Is it my eyes or is slightly off level? Nevertheless, nice photo!

brilliant capture and composition :)

that rain looks really awful - hope you didn't get wet ;)

I really like the colouring in this photo.

Cheers David, processing done mainly in Lightroom and a 2nd layer with low opacity in Colourfx pro

Cheers Patrick I do have a darker version I will add to the first post for you to compare.

what a great image, well done.

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment Michael.

Thanks Hippo, I'm pretty sure it is level, hard to tell from the horizontals as there is a couple of slopes but all teh verticals seem to be alrigth when I checked.

Cheers Hopeful, didn't get wet but got pounded by the hailstorm in the background hehe

Cracking image, well done

Thanks Fido for the comment.

Oooh, envious again! The 1st one seems the better one (to me anyway),captures the mood without being OTT. Lovely
I'd love to be able to cpature scenes like this,I see the picture in my mind but when I look at the result it just looks like, well, nothing really.

I

Really like both images, the 2nd one as the appearance of an older photo.

Both great.

Very good shot.
Personally I perfer the lighter version as it feels more 'realistic'(?).

Hiya Tommy,

Well done! That is an awesome picture.

I like both, but prefer the darker one which has a more moody feel to it. Especially like the way you have capture a bit of colour with the green and red. Also love the way you have caught the rain in the distance.

Good luck with the rest of the 52 and I look forward to following your project.

Cheers

Great photo. Nice work.

Thanks all for taking the time to view the pic and comment, I prefer the lighter one myself as it was more in keeping of how the scene actually looked at the time.

Week 2 - New

New Growth, an older pic that I always meant to get round to working on and this weeks theme gave me the push and inspiration to get it done. Especially wanted to emphasis the dappled shadows around the flowers on the hillside and the almost magical light early in the morning.

edit with blown flowers in bottom corner replaced.. cheers for the spot on that one Colin, dunno how I missed it. :)

Colours on this one are great Tommy. I would prefer the white flowers at the bottom left to be darkened slightly but you have certainly managed to make the most of the dappling.

Tommy, 2 super images for weeks 1 & 2.

I really like the darker image on week 1

Hiya Tommy,

Don't know how I missed this, it's amazing how quickly things disappear off the first page. Good job I saw it now, although I would have picked it up from my spreadsheet tally sooner or later.

Ooooooh! I do like this image. The angle at which you have taken the shot and the DOF are fantastic.

Agree about the blown flowers, which you have now sorted, although you have just missed some about 1 o'clock to the others.

The flowers are beautiful colours, like the dappled shadow and the way you have caught the light dancing between. The building in the background looks mystical too, which adds to the image.

Well done and I look forward to seeing your week 3 image.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Very atmospheric pic. The colours and dappled light is great. You did well considering the difficult lighting conditions with extreme bright and dark areas.

Personally I would have liked a greater DOF to see a bit more detail in the background, but perhaps that wasn't what you aiming for.

Overall I really like this one

Really like both week one and two shots, wonderful colours in both. If I had to make a choice I think I prefer the lighter version of the harbour shot.

The crocus are stunning - wish it were that time of year:)

loving the second week, gorgeous colours in there, photo is so pleasing to the eyes :) x

Great capture on both weeks, i particularly like the light and shadow on the week two shot, really nice.
