Golf Balls....

Anyone recommend a decent ball for a crappy player?

I used to use Maxfli Noodles but can't find them in the main shops - need something a bit forgiving that flies higher with a bit of spin to stop it from going into streams and ditches

Also, on a bit of a budget (up to £35) - need to get hold of a putter; any recommendations? Currently use an old Slazenger solid face putter that I just seem to bounce balls aroudnd with. These ones with insert faces, are they any good?

I have an Odyssey 2 ball, cost £125 about 4 years ago,

I will have a look in my garage and see if I still have some old putters,

As for balls, you can't go wrong with Srixon balls for what you need.

It's either something about Stoke-on-Trent that's doing it for you, or that stroking is the new whacking...

Will have to dust off the putter and do some rounds of the living room to have a practise.

Srixon - was hitting them today at the range. Will have a look at what they do - need to buy bulk because I can see a lot of balls going wayward......

Wouldn't be able to recommend on a budget, my putter was pretty pricey. Looks cool though

Last time I played I was well pleased with my playing but between the 5th and 14th I probably spent half a lifetime searching for balls and if I'd have found every one, I'd probably have taken 10 shots off

Sod it, it'll probably be one of a handful of times I play in the next year so i'll stay away from buying a new putter.

There are some "golf balls" at Menwith Hill nr Harrogate, don't know how good they are though
