Yes
stay indoros no silly journeys

I certainly wont be doing any unnecessary journeys until at least Wednesday.

all the leaves are coming down this eve I reckon

Already started here in the southwest, only a few big gusts so far.
The light is really weird though, first thing it had a green tinge, but now it is an orange/brown colour, very strange.

I am working with a load of mobile engineers in EIRE they are all off home or indoors to the pub
even mcdonalds are shutting all the stores for fear of flying debris.

A couple of minutes ago I was heading out to post a couple of letters and saw a pink sun !! That only lasted till the cloud went over it again

Same here in West Midlands - the sky has an eerily orange-brown hue, which along with the autumnal leaves, reminds me of a tobacco/orange filter on a lens. Took a pic with my iphone and it bloody well AWB so the sky looks "normal".

Apparently it's caused by Saharan sand.

Yeah thats what they are saying on the local radio here, but this storm has come across the Atlantic so I'm finding that hard to understand?
Perhaps the sand is in the atmosphere above the storm, I dont know???

Had a 30 second shower (VERY short but big drops!) as we waited on the 1st tee for there to be enough light to see where we were driving. Car was cleaned over the weekend but is now filthy again! Very weird orange Sun at about 10:45 but now lovely blue sky (although it looks like the cloud is starting to roll in as I type!)

Odd pinks and orangey tones in the sky here (Gairloch) too and at the time of this shot, about 2 hours ago, not a breath of wind.

The forecast has improved for here with the worst of the storm further south.

All the best to anyone who is affected.

Dave

think I should just prebook a roofer

Could be a bit windy on the motorbike then?

Bike will be tucked in before the wind hits, leaving Wakey in 20 mins, only 20 mins to home

I still have to ride home on mine, GT1050, should have enough weight to not be too much of a problem, although the Bridgestones dont seem to know where they want to go.

My tyres are BT and getting a bit tired back is getting square starting to fall into bends a bit eager

Front tyre for me, whitelines, slow speeds, nightmare, plenty of tread and back is ok too, seems a shame to throw them both away for the sake of the front, only done 5,000 miles.

The most peculiar orange light all afternoon here in Kent. Martian skies, the news was calling it.
It was very interesting though, as was the rather stunning sunset.

Saharan sand caught up in Ophelia's outer edge, apparently. Thankfully it didn't rain.

Unseasonably warm, with an equally warm stiff breeze.

We had the sun/sky effect for a bit, but it wasn't spectacular and didn't last long. Weather in SW Scotland is cold, wet and very windy, much as usual...

It did here. Not for long (a minute at most) but it was enough to get the cars and bikes filthy!

Windy enough here that there was a big noise outside. No idea what it was but it meant I had to trundle out into the backyard in the dark just now and tidy up.

Pretty grim up here on the North Wales coast on a open hill top ,got nothing in front of the house but the full width of the Dee estuary and Irish Sea ,,all the street lights are out so it’s wait till morning to see what’s standing ,though the wife was running around all afternoon putting everything in the garden away while I was out playing with my camera

Well done - and thank you - for saying where you are!!!

I hate these threads where people say "It's [ great / rubbish etc ] here" and then don't say where they actually are...
