Going to Bath next Sunday

Hi Chaz
I live in Bath and I can tell you that in the summer you have never seen soooo many cameras.Being a resident of this fair City it is of course the last place that would I walk around taking photo's.(Only because I live here) But what I can say is 'look up' In and out of the Roman Bath's, The Circus,Pulteney St, etc. We have some fab buildings.
Personally, I'll be in Southampton so it's all yours (and the tourists)Enjoy PAW
 
I also live in Bath :thumbs:

Crescent is the obvious to shoot, the Abbey and the Roman Baths are another good set.

There's also the Bath Spa project that is here now, and the new bus station has just opened - if you fancy some modern buildings (lots of glass!).

As above too, Pulteney Bridge, Weir and Cirus etc.

If you can get just outside the City Centre, you can get upto Alexandra Park and that gives good views across the city.
 
The Weir with pulteney bridge as its backdrop is probably my fave view of Bath. You can get this from a distance and elevated position from North Parade Bridge which is only a 2 minute walk from the Abbey.

Prior Park Gardens is a nice national trust park but is a 20 minute walk from city centre with 10 minutes steep uphill !!

Well I live in Trowbridge and thats a 15min drive from Bath. Don't mind meeting up....name a place and when.

The canal that runs through the south side of bath could be quite photogenic if captured right.

Great pultney street and the surrounding bridges, weirs and georgian streets would be cool aswell.

Hmmm, maybe the lack of people wanting to meet up with you is in some small part due of the impeccable manner and attitude you so amicably demonstrate in this thread Chaz.

In addition to this, I've continued to see you demonstrate your very judgemental attitude of... "I know - you don't, I'm right - you're wrong" in several of your posts, which doesn't sit well with me.

We all love meeting up with other folk on here, and I am sure many would agree with you that Bath is both a great place to undertake photography and to meet people: but posting in the manner you do as a relative new member on TP simply won't win you many friends I'm afraid.

Maybe at some time we might meet up on a TP meet, maybe not; but if we do I can assure you that I'd much prefer to think that I and others could possibly [yes, only possibly] benefit from your vast experience of... 'Taking and Printing photos since 1964", than to be judged by you.
