Going to Ayr

culzean castle is nice (in large park) but costs £8 or £12 if you want to enter castle (which is reallymore of a stately home).

also, greenan castle on the ayr coast (looks great in sunset).

rabbie burns cottage/alloway are picturesque

what sort of things do you like to take pictures of?

Anything at the moment, just learning really, but i am hoping to get some of the coast, i just dont the area at all.
A zoo or animal farm would be good, take the kids and I would be happy too

hi,alloway is good for pics of robert burns our national bard, the auld kirk, and monument and the bridge over the river doon where tam o shanters mare lost her tale and then down the coast to culzean castle nice, place to visit,

sorry someone beat me to it,there is an animal farm on the coast on the road from ayr to culzean castle

Another vote for Culzean from here. Don't worry about the cost to go into the house - there's plenty more to see - the gardens, the deer, the beach, the woods, the Pagoda, the Swan Lake. You could easily spend a day there wandering around doing different things.

Have a look here and here. And here.

ah greenan shore brings back memories of my courting days:help::eek:

Another vote for Culzean castle here. Loads of variation, castle, gardens, lake, coast etc. Admission is free to Scottish National Trust members.

Watch out for the average speed cameras on the way into Ayr.
