I've been looking at the Rode mini2 wireless mic system, but a few days ago I came across the Godox Movielink similar system. The Godox is cheaper by a fair margin and seems to offer more (lav mics and charging case) Has anybody got one? Are they any good for vlogging?
I know the Rode has onboard storage, but I cant see me using that to be honest.

Ive been looking at the same type of set up, I am leaning more towards the DJI Mic 2 version, but for a budget version this seems to be getting some good reviews.
Neewer CM28

I'll have a look at the Godox version now, I wasnt aware of it.

I haven't see the Neewer one. I'll have to have a look at this as well. Thanks Scott.

I've had a look at a few different ones including the DJI mic mini and ended up going for the Godox, it seems the best bang for the price, and Godox stuff seems pretty decent from what I have of it.
I'll let you know the verdict when it comes.

Ok the Movielink M2 arrived yesterday, I've had a little play with it and so far I'm impressed. It was paired out of the box, so I didnt have to pair it (something I thought you had to do) and the sound quality seems very good. I've only gone about 30 foot from the camera but I had no issues at that distance.
Things I like, the charging case is handy as you can charge both mics and the receiver at the same time off one lead (they do supply 3 leads so you can charge them on their own).
Things I dont like, the magnetic clips dont seem very strong, I'm not sure I'd trust that through a shirt or something.
The other issue is theres nothing to carry the leads included lav mics and wind muffs in other that a cardboard box. That seems odd considering the nice carrying/charging case. Shame that didnt have room for a charging lead and the receiver to camera lead. The wind muffs are quite large.
So I will need a small pouch for the lav mics and cables and wind muffs. It's not a big deal, it just seems odd a small pouch wasnt included, considering the kit that is supplied.
As for the price, I paid £112 for the lot. Thats 2 wireless mics, receiver, the charging case and the 2 lav mics. I think thats a pretty good deal.

Update, I've found something else I'm not fussed with. The winds muff (dead cat) things are big and in my very limited trial seem to work well. The problem is getting the blighters off after use. They dont fit the charging case on the mics, and they are a right PITA to get off, tight is putting is hardy close enough.
On the plus side they wont fall off like the old Rode ones did (the new ones dont) But having to use a fair bit of force to get them off worries me, and they do take a bit of force to remove.

Any chance of an update of how they are working out for you?

They work fine, paired out of the box, so no setting up to do. Only things I'm not impressed with is the magnetic fastening, the magnet doesnt seem very strong, and getting the wind muff off is a fiddle, theres a nack to it.
The charging case is handy, and it's good for carrying them about safetly.
